Julie Mueller's Portfolio
This blog is to recognize the tough journey my mom, Judy, takes through Alzheimer’s, and how we, as her caregivers and her support system, work through it each day. It is work, and very draining on caretakers – like all diseases. Alzheimer’s is different then other diseases not only because there is no recovery or chance for remission and she gets worse every day. The support is draining and endless, and you are mourning your loved one even though she is still there. Still Judy – but not really.

These are interviews conducted and produced by Julie Mueller
Arty, fuzzy and punkish - The Funs, Philip Lesicko and Jessee Rose Crane, visit CHIRP's studio to chat with DJ Julie Mueller. Jessee muses about her life peaking after touring with The Breeders last year, they discussed how naivety is responsible for the artist's residence they're building in the funeral home formerly owned by Philip's grandparents, and detailed why it was important to move downstate to continue to create art.
Chicago's "sensitive rock" trio, Fort Frances, discuss how important Jeff's "bass face" is to the band, Aaron's ambitious goals for 2014 and from David, why "pop" isn't a dirty word when used in musical terms. Check out the band's lively sense of humor and soul in this interview with CHIRP Radio's Julie Mueller.
Drummer for local super group T/T/T/ Matthew Frank discussed meeting Evan Weiss at the Metal Shack and which season in Chicago he hates the most. Spoiler - it's not winter.
